A/V CODEC Reference Design
Audio/Video CODEC reference platform shortens the
development cycle by providing a complete hardware and
software reference design for low power low bit-rate video
applications. Built around an ARM 9 based CPU, the
CODEC, along with the TV encoder/decoder , built in web
server. Offers removable SD card memory, USB 2.0 , 10/100
Ethernet and Audio I/O support, the platform provides a low
power small form factor solution for the mobile acquisition
and playback of video content as well as for streaming media
applications. In addition, it supports a variety of sensor

IP Camera Reference Design
<= IP Camera
reference design combines the Pixim image sensor and
processor chip set, with a low-power H.264 video
codec, creating the most power efficient IP camera
available. Pixim’s Digital Pixel System (DPS) offers
greater dynamic range than conventional image sensors
significantly improving the image quality in scenes
consisting of both bright and dark areas. Low-power H.264
encoder offers a compression advantage of 2X-3X over
existing MPEG based solutions while using only 185mW.

reference design that supports multiple CMOS sensor
suppliers. This USB camera supports up to 5M pixel
resolution and full-motion video at 720x480 and up to 30fps.

resolution, frame rate, and video de-compression formats
MPEG-1/2/4/H.264 and JPEG. Targeted for a wide range
of encoding applications from surveillance systems to IP
